AOH CHURCH OF GOD INC. PURCHASE THE CATHEDRAL OF THE CROSS

Congratulations to the AOH CHURCH OF GOD, INTERNATIONAL PRELATE, BISHOP G. W. AYERS, on the purchase of the new headquarters, Cathedral of the Cross, a 5,100 seat auditorium facility located in Center Point, AL, a suburb of Birmingham. This has got to be a very proud moment in the history of this great church. Under the late founder, Bishop W. T. Phillips leadership, the church purchased the Phillips Temple, a 1,000 seat auditorium in Mobile for a headquarters. Under Bishop Jasper Roby, the church built the AOH Cathedral, a 2,000 seat auditorium, and moved the headquarters to Birmingham. When Bishop Ayers became the presider, and after the sale of the Cathedral, the headquarters was relocated back to Mobile. However it was Bishop Ayers desire to have a facility that could accommodate the delegation for the Annual National Pentecost Convention. Plans were in motion to expand the Phillips Temple auditorium to a 3,000 seat auditorium for 3 million. Then something miraculous happened. The Cathedral of the Cross was placed on the market and Bishop Ayers was lead to make an offer of 2 million and it was accepted. So now the new headquarters will relocate to Birmingham. This facility is ideal. Not only does it have a 5,100 seat auditorium, it is fully equipped with a Youth Ministry auditorium, a Children's Ministry auditorium, a Wedding Chapel, a Full Court Gymnasium, over 26 Administrative Offices, over 800 Parking Spaces, a state of the art Multi-Media Center, and much, much more! Again, congratulations to the international Prelate, Bishop G. W. Ayers for your impeccable leadership of the Apostolic Overcoming Holy Church of God, Inc.
